Departing for a return trip to Iceland and then onto Greenland

What a lovely start to the day. Some rain had fallen overnight and temperatures had reduced to a more manageable 23°C.
The house was clean and tidy, next door had a key and my regular 'house sitter' was hoping to be down later in the afternoon.
We were sailing from Tilbury, such a lively port to leave from; small, quaint and of course the docking place of the Empire Windrush.
I'm pleased to say we used the same pier as they had so we walked along the passageway they had walked through all those years ago.
Muster was early, at 16.25 so I was able to unpack and get everything away before I had time to sit down on the lido deck and watch our departure along the Thames.
I've met up with Shirley and we've already had a good natter. She's on deck 5 now, having a drink and no doubt chatting to others. I'll meet up with her at 18.30 to go into dinner and then...... well after only four hours sleep last night I'm hoping I'll sleep well and early.
Mind you we have four days at sea until we reach Iceland and our first destination, Isafjördur.
Lovely place. Am looking forward to having a wander around.
