Breakfast became a time of, "well, what time is it? Is it? Blimey!"
I didn't twig until I was hunting for the talk which starts at 10.30am and the doors were still locked. I wasn't the only one, about half a dozen were milling about looking very lost as well.
So, it's now..... 11.04am according to my phone .... let's hope its 10.04am.
There were two main talks today, the first on Kristiansund and Tromso and the second on the geography and geology of Norway.
I must admit, the first was better because, although he read most of it from the auto-queue on his lap top, he maintained the natural lilt of someone speaking without visual prompt.
Although interesting, the second gentleman spoke again from auto-queue but his voice was monotone, the words evenly spaced and I noted several heads dropping as I yawned all too frequently from behind my mask.
The good news is we are able to disembark quite freely and be nosy which is great.
It appears Norway has done the same as Britain and relaxed restrictions so we are free to wander; a real bonus indeed.
Wonder how Spain will be when September comes around and I head off for hotter climes? I do hope the passenger locator form will have died off.
So, I'm back in my cabin and about to enjoy a cuppa, then grab my coat and have a wander outside. Typical of the North sea, its grey and foggy. The sea is relatively calm (for this stretch of water at least) and its expected to remain so overnight.
I did change my first trip out. I was due to go for a brisk 3 mile walk but decided caution is more sensible - treat this recovering ankle with the respect it deserves and it will reward me with longer walking into the future. So I'm off on something called, "Norway in Miniature" whatever that means and then if time I'll do a quick nose at the town centre ..... only if there's time that is.
Tonight we had Jools Holland playing a set in the Playhouse. As usual, he was really good but I watched from bed, I was already dozing off and was asleep before his set finished.
