An interesting trip in the twilight

It was a long but interesting trip but neither of our two main stops lasted long enough and we managed to arrive at both destinations with only 30 mins remaining before they closed. So unfortunate as both would have benefitted from longer.
The first post of call was a sea life centre where they had the fish types you'd expect to see off the coast as well as king crabs, sea anemones and sea urchins, various types of star fish and sadly, some captured seals. I can but hope these were ones rescued and not able to be released because of a problem or over human dependence.
Anyway it was interesting and we could have benefitted from a further 15mins or so.
The second was the Polar museum and this could have done with an extra hour. Looking at the early exploration of the arctic, they explored the journeys of the famous explorers, their belongings and way of life on the ice. Fascinating.
By the time we came out it was already twilight and when we visited the cathedral it was almost dark. I took some pictures using night time and dusk settings and the results were surprising.
We went on a tour of Tromsø island .... but it was dark by now and the scenery was completely lost. Sad because I would like to have seen it.
Our late arrival and late departures meant there were a few of us coming back well after dark and feeling somehow the tours weren't quite as good as they could have been in daylight.
I'm so glad I went into town in the morning, at least I saw Tromsø and photographed parts of it. That was the best part of the day most certainly.
